This is actually my first audio book. It takes a while to build up to the action, but once we get to the main characters and the central “family”, it’s a joy to read and see how they interact with each other as they confront these supernatural and sci-fi challenges. The sound effects were great, really immersive for the action scenes.

It’s not a very long story, and that’s OK. All the better for a quick read on the go!

I recently listened to an advanced copy of the audio book, provided to me by the author. I was blown away by the setting, pacing, and well written characters of the story. The story is one that is of an origin story, of banding together for the greater good and one of tremendous sacrifice and loss. I recommend everyone check this great story!!

A Fresh Story That Leaves You Wanting More!

As a fan of sci/fi fiction for about 40 years, the one thing that offends more than anything is the lack of originality! That is not the case here. This is one of the most original stories that I have read in a while, and I found myself getting caught up pretty quickly in the story and characters. Using known gods and monsters and real world events really created an interesting world that left me wanting more. This is a well thought out and carefully researched story that has a strong family vibe between the characters, making it easy to care for them. I was extremely impressed with the I honesty cannot wait to read more. This is a book that I would definitely recommend to any fan of fiction!
